Hello Hammys

Can you all play Spearhead in single player mode now you have updated?

I can't and for the life of me I don't know why!!

Full un modded re-install of Moha and Spearhead on 2 systems with same result.

I`ve had no problems with the single player (apart from those Panzers ) with or without.

The major problem I had was with altering ASE, which for a dummy like me was littered with problems, but all is fine now.

Worked fine for me on 2 machines.

What is happening?
Game crashing out, or not starting at all?

We've had a few of our members say that since they put the 2.11 patch on, they can't run single player.

I had no problems personally, but I made sure that I did a clean install of Spearhead, then the patch, then the no-cd, without any nasty maps or mods in there!!

I have still not got to the bottom of this problem, yet.

Well all of my members are running 2.1, and no problems have been reported as of yet.
We have extra maps, blood, scoped, skins & intro skips added.  But all still works ok.

The map loads up then returns you to the main menu screen like if you have not got the map in multiplayer.

If you bring down the console, you should see a message to the effect that it failed to load the map.

ah, it would appear that one or more animation files are either missing or corrupt, this isnt an easy one to fix.

I would reccomend checking in your pak0.pk3 file for the animation file specified in the error, just to certify that the file is actually there.

as far as if it is corrupted, then, all I can suggest is that the file must be corrupted in the pk3 archive on the disk. If it is an original, send it back and get a replacement. If it is a "Offsite Security Backup"!!! then Im sure, if you post your e-mail address, I can send you the file in question, and you can add it to the archive and overwrite the suspect one.

If anyone else has a better solution, please post. I am only qualified in scripting, skinning, and graphics. I am not an animator / modeller my self, so I wouldnt like to say that this info is a 100% fix for the problem.

Looking in the "mainta" folder I have no pak0.pak3 file. I dont have the file listed in the error message in "main" folder either. Could I have a corrupt patch? It seems to install just fine!!

Think Maj-Al meant to say it's in pak1.pk3.
File details:

pk3's can be viewed with winzip, so make sure you've got this file in there.

I don't use winzip but I do use power archiver which is as good if not better and opens all compressed files like .ace and .rar
