All I know is that the first release of the demo was faulty, so a second one was published, and the above link should be to the second.

Don't touch the demo with a 10 foot barge pole.

I've tries to play it twice now and the damn thing has crashed to desktop both times.

They also seem to be under the impresion that Steam is the way to go with games.  So you have to log in to get the server list.  And so everything has ground to a halt because everyone is trying to play the demo.

Gits.

Back to Vietnam I think, and I hope this demo has been waiting for ages to come out, 'cos the game comes out in a months time (in the USA) and in this state, it ain't ready.

A little bump & update for this little game.

The US release date has moved to 22nd June.  No word on the Euro release (if it's moved from late May or stayed the same).

And Jolt are offering a UK only demo.  Don't know if it's a bit more stable than the yank version.  But I'm downloading it anyway.

Just had a quick thrash about on a server.  

Got on first time

The UK demo is an earlier version of the second and patched US demo (Christ on a stick, try saying that after a few pints), and so there not that many servers about.  But it does seem to work ok.

A patch for our little demo should come out soon.

P.S  I did have Hitman on pre-order but cancelled it 'cos i've still got FarCry and Painkiller to finish.  And Savage to start (It's on the shelf, looking at me )

Had a quick thrash myself ..and then I played a bit of Soldner

I know its a beta & not the most up to date version but the general feel I had from it was it all felt a bit `distant`.  However that maybe because I have no idea what I`m doing.

I read on the official forums that an independent shop is already selling their copies of the game.  Early and naughty like

Been playing a bit with the retail version.

The single player game is a big pile of poo.  The AI has been programmed to get in vehicles, and then try to run you over.  It does try to shoot you, but Stevie Wonder seems to be behind the wheel.  (As it comes towards you it bounces off trees and buildings)  They should have put the single player like Battlefield (all versions) with big maps, and you with & against the bots.  But for some reason they've done it as missions.  Maybe the early missions are supposed to be this silly.  

Example: My mission was to kill a bad guy.  I get in my jeep and drive a couple of kilometres and stop about 500 metres away from him.  He is standing on his own outside a building.  I get out of my jeep just as he spots me.  He runs towards me, I drop to the floor, pull up the iron sights and shoot him in the head.  No-one else is around so I get back in my jeep, drive back to my start point and it's "mission complete".  'Tis a strange game on single player.  Just use single player to get used to the guns & stuff.

Tried out a couple of servers on multiplayer.  And it ain't a bad game.  Graphics look like they're from a x-box game but it's the gameplay that'll keeps draggin' me back, even with the bugs.

First bug that I noticed.  I put the single player on to mess about with the vehicles and guns.  Got in a jeep and it put the throttle on full and wouldn't stop.  Reverse didn't work.  Checked on the official forums and the advice is to "unplug your joystick".  Which makes flying anything bloody difficult (think I'll be a foot soldier in this game).

thought hihgly of this game. but i wil stick to bfvc for a while until i read some better reviews..
