Getting the eye to work with the retail has proven to be simple based upon the information that was already posted here in this thread.

Here is how I did it:

I copied the follwing into my filters.txt, just below the last mohaa entry. (with the eye closed).

Save the new versions of filters.txt, then restart the eye.

Right click on the new spearhead folder icon, and select custom config. Point it to your spearhead exe, and save it.

If you are successful the folder icon will change to the official spearhead icon.

Next step is to populate servers. To do this, I refreshed my mohaa servers, not the spearhead servers yet.

The mohaa refresh populates you with the spearhead retail and demo servers. Once populated into the eye, you can then refresh the spearhead server lists normally by selecting mohaa spearhead. You can join games and search for your friends as you would normally do.

Hope this helps, and gets you through the political rubbish that EA and gamespy seem to enjoy putting people through.

Thanx worked fine only 68 servers but bet it will soon catch on.
Found it a bit laggy but i think most were run on peoples own putters.

Right I have a filter that you put in your ASE folder and it gives you full support for all versions of Spearhead.

I downloaded the filter file and also edited as you said.

Then right clicked the spearhead folder that appeared and browsed me hard drive from the c: prompt until I got to spearhead.exe file and then saved my name as {HamsteR}2toes, left the config but alone, and it worked....

Help!!

OK I might be a dummy some ..well..most of the time, but I`ve installed the file as per the intructions on this forum.  No problems until I try & join a game via ASE.

It says that `can`t execute program goto view-options-games to configure this game.`

I`ve configured it by right clicking adding my name & path to spearhead. When I do what it says I can see that its all done correctly so I`m confused.

Am I missing something obvious?

hi rik  i have just had to re-do my filter because there was an update on ase yesterday and it replaces text filter. pain in the rear i know but it is only way round it till ase accepts spearhead.
