Spearheadproblems

Two things guys.

1 how can I tell if the patch has been applied correctly, because when I start spearhead the console displays ver 2.0.  If I type version in the console it also says 2.0.  I applied the patch as per instruction

2 When the game is playing and I shoot a german or throw grenade at the point of impact or death white squares appear on the ground.  tried updating drivers to latest detonators, no good, then applied latest manufacturers drivers, still no good.  RichieGuy has the same problem on his laptop

any ideas guys, seen this before

Thats ur blood mod m8, Im not sure, but I think it has something to do with either the sahder files in spearhead being of a different format.
Or
Spearhead accepting only 32 - bit TGA files. Either way, when I get chance to look into it, I will as Im having the same problems.

Will let you know the outcome of my research.

ive had no prob's but i have taken out most of my added file's for mohaa so give that a try

1 if you look on the ingame browser it will only show servers you can join,
ie either v2 or v2.11 the one you cant join will be in red.

2 it is definately the blood mod you are using that causes the white squares

You can dowload a mod from HERE to eliminate the greyed out area's your getting...

Filename is MPSH-Bodyhitpuff its only 21kb, so if you cant get it then i'll email to whoever....

removed the blood mod and it works a treat now

All sorted now, there are two versions of the no-cd patch, one for 2.0 the other for 2.1

Just got hold of spearhead  

I`m experiencing one or two problems in the  single player.  Basically it all appears a bit `laggy`.  I`ve removed my blood mod, sound and display mods but its still the same.

Don`t think its my pc as its still ok with other games including mohaa.

Any suggestions (even sensible ones)?

Post what the spec is of your pc, just so we can all see if there's any reason why..

My only real suggestion would be to defrag your HD, and then see if its any better.

The best thing is to Uninstall, Defrag, Reinstall... I know its a pain... But I defrag mine often...

Also check you drivers for the latest version.

And clear anything thats running in the background that doesnt need to be...

I`ve re-installed both games now, and I`m running Spearhead with lower graphics, effects etc..it seems ok now  

I think that the spec of my pooter may be being stretched a little trying to run the sound & graphics as I have done on mohaa.  Christmas is round the corner so I`ll have to be a good boy and see if santa will bring me an upgrade
