I bought my game electronically from Direct2Drive...

I have two download load links for my purchase of Startrek: a Beta and Retail Version which is currently grayed out until the 1/2/10.

Q: Will I have to download and reinstall the whole game again to go live

as far as i'm aware, the beta app will patch to become the live app

Q: I have the Open/Closed Beta client installed, do I need to re-download/install?
A: No, you don't have to re-install. Your closed beta client will patch up to the current client automatically. After February 1, 2010, all you need to do is activate your retail product key to continue playing after headstart ends.

So, download the beta from D2D, and let the patcher do the rest  

And, yes, it's meant to start 6pm UK time

How do you choose a liberated Borg?

I don't think you can from the off - Klingons unlock at l6 so maybe something similar for teh borg?

U can make borgs now according to Twitter

You can now finally, they had to run a script to hoover up and flag all lifetime sub accounts. You "should" have borgs now and the 4 character slots
