Dodgy connection

I`ve been with Freedom To Surf for a good while now and i`m now on their max adsl with no real problems.  However recently i`ve noticied that if I run bittorrent in the daytime & then close it a short while later my connection drops  .

My router`s lights are on indicating that there is still a connection but I can`t even access the router page to restart it.  I have resorted to unplugging it & staring again.  What usually happens is that I am able to resart the router but my connection drops after about 20 secs.  The router shows it still as connected, but I can see there is no traffic via my firewall. 

This continues until I lose patience  , when I turn it all on the next day there are no problems.

Just appears to be random, I`ve only really noticed the connection dropping when I have been using bittorrent    

Spoke to F2S cs & they were no help, suggested I change the microfilters around

What is the router? A lot of routers don't like too many connections through bit torrent as it fills up the NAT Table and then the router falls over. Try taking the maximum connections that bit torrent makes down to 100 and see how you go from there.

I`ll try & limit the connections, but they are usually under 50

Ah well, that buggers my theory then

Try running it without the firewall for a while.
