Nazi Estate & lolclan

The sooner we get Nazi Estate 3 running on the main servers the better. The previous version of the map which we are running (on TDM) is just getting to be a fight around one door, with the axis having the advantage.

And lolclan_v2 is just a spawnfest for the axis too.

Try working as a team when you're on the Allied side then. Both maps have worked for all sorts of clans for a couple of months now.

If I took every map off that you lot wanted then there would be none left.

Do you all want me to try this tomorrow?

Agreed, this becomes critical if the axis outnumber the allies. The other map with a similar problem is the panzer base (with V2's in one bay .this is not the black onyx panzer base) This map simply requires the allies to have more spread out spawn areas (same with Nazi Estate.)

and sometimes on the Uboat map 2, people just sit at the boxes to the right of allied respawn area(if u know where i mean). that just pi#&%d me off!  :evil:  :evil:  :evil:  to many spawn killers on those maps...

We do play as a team, and eventually get out, only to end up pushed right back again before too long. The allies have only one exit from their spawn points, whereas the axis have several, on both of these maps.

Nazi Estate 3 addresses some of the issues (main one being that the door leading to the allied spawn now opens both ways), and makes the map much more playable, IMO.

I'm not saying they should be taken off completely, just lets have the most up-to-date version on the servers. If there isn't a more up-to-date version of the lolclan_v2, then we'll have to live with it. The map is fine when there aren't too many players, as the allies can kill enough of them to get out.... it only becomes a problem when the axis are camped around their exit in huge numbers!

Sorry to disagree CB but all 4 maps mentioned are hideous for the allies if there is only 1 spawn killer/ nazi holding the choke point. The LOL and u-boat maps actually encourages spawn killing because the only place to break out to for the axis is the spawn areas. As I said before the other maps would benifit greatly from more allied spawn areas.

well, eventually allies can get good enough positions and fight back! but then they are 40 frags behind and there is like 5 min remaining, there is no ground 2 meet on, either there is spawn killing from axis or from allied... 2 bad though...!

A tip : if the teams are unbalanced then try saying "BALANCE TEAMS PLEASE"

It doesn't often work but most times some people have enough sense to hit their TAB keys and look at the teams. Some of them even switch sides to try to balance the team - although some of the "longer serving" {HamsteR}s seem to have too much of an attachment to their current weapon to do this  :wink:

Oh and you {HamsteR}s should be looking at this on a regular basis and if the teams are unbalanced you should switch sides to make a decent game of it.

The maps (and the game) are what you make of it - the best map in the world will still have spawn killing if you're not working as a team and the teams are unbalanced.

Final tip : when joining a TDM hit "Auto Select Team" - if everyone did this then there wouldn't be so much of a problem.....

heh, you're right rizla. I just had a blast on Omaha as axis because even though we were outnumbered 2-1 we still managed to defend the cannons through some nice teamwork which then carried over to the bridge and the hunt.

The moral? teamwork rules!  :D

Also, if the other team are playing well and holding their own against a greater force then I won't change teams until they either ask for it or do start to struggle. As has been said before, it's fun fighting against the odds and if you're coming out on top why change things? :)
