PS... I think this game is actually BETTER than the PS2 version of Gran Turismo 3!  8O

So it's a marked improvement on toca race driver?

..because i bought that when it came out, and thought it was the worst driving game i'd bought since fatal racing on the amiga...

Calibrax

MAJOR improvement. This has been written from the ground up, doesn't have any of the original code, and it's all the better for it. And it has manual gears with clutch option too, which I'm looking forward to trying. Think I might dig out my Momo force feedback wheel for this one!

The graphics engine is amazing... it actually runs on my Win2k 1.2 Celeron laptop with 16mb ATI mobile graphics (ok, only at 640x480 but still impressive!) On my main PC, when driving a Formula Ford car, you can actually see proper reflections in the shiny paint on the nosecone, even flags waving in the crowd are reflected. Very nice indeed.

And the physics seem much better. Different cars handle differently. And it's a great feeling when the back end of the car starts to go and so you quickly stick on some opposite lock, slam on the throttle, and powerslide out of the corner  8)

I think this one will drag me away from Splinter Cell for a while!  8O  :)

I bought it last Sunday and Im hooked.

The Cars are wicked and the tracks are fun. Views man you think your there,

The best aspect of the game is online, my recommendation is to get it, play 50% of the Single player, Then go on line, by then you'll know the tracks the cars.

Lo peeps,

Bought myself a MOMO racing steer some weeks ago for playing CM 2004 as there is not really anything else to play these days :shockingzap:
Prolly I will try/buy this game as well cause it had read some nice articles about the game.
Would be nice to race against some Hamstah's ;-)
