Problems starting MOHAA ...

I installed the latest drivers for my video card and since tan I can't run MOHAA
I got some kind of error on my GL driver:

Glimp_Init() - OPENGL Vendor string is NULL

Any ideas how to get ride of this BUG?

Have you tried the old drivers?

Also what Card you using, you got the latest moh patch installed?

Anything else stopped working?

Only thing I can suggesst is to try the previous drivers again, if that dont work try googling to see if this is a problem with your cards new drivers or some issue with the version of moh your using.

MAybe a simple re-install of the game will fix it, but I think your best bet is to try some other drivers for your graphics card.

This problem occures after I installed the latest drivers for my GF4 4600 card.
But for sure I'm not reinstalling my old drivers cause they where too laggy (mucho reboots due to hang ups).
I know that some years ago you had to download OPENGL drivers seperate from you regular video card drivers?
I will check the MOHAA site if there's something on the website about my problem.
As for the latest patches, I have MOHAA from the beginning and YES I got all patches

Triv, your card is the Ti4600 right?? Get the 41.06 drivers from www.Guru3d.com They are THE best and most stable drivers for the Ti 4600 i run them in my server box which has the same card as you.

Uninstall the drivers you currently have, use Detonator RIP ( again from www.guru3d.com) and then reboot, your machine should install a set of standard Microsoft Drivers, then install the 41.09 drivers....

A lot of the problems people have is cos they upgrade when they dont need to, and install drivers which arent optimised for their card. Most of the driver enhancements after the 41.09 were for the FX series of cards, not for the GF4 Ti line.

Try this see if that sorts it...

Alternatively, you can try uninstalling MOHAA and Spearhead, rebooting your machine, then reinstalling just MOHAA for the time being, patch it and see if that works....

Also run DXDiag ( start>run>dxdiag ) and see if it throws any Open GL errors.... I doubt it will since you can run UT fine and dandy. Give these a shot and see how you get on, but the 41.09 drivers are still the recomended drivers for the GeForce 4 Ti line of cards....

The idea of downloading Open GL drivers is something that i havent come across, maybe years ago they were a separate entity, but i doubt they are now.....

Oh yeah, nuther thing, run the MOHAA Config program again, it may just be that with all your playing you've knocked the config for the game out anbd now nothing is in the config for the openGL device.......

Thnx P-Dub will try those things out tonight but as for the last time I couldn't remove my DEFAULT card drivers with the DETONATOR tool.
It took me 2 hours to get my PC run again after using DETONATOR

Will check the MOHAA CONFIG programm.

Yours is the ASUS card like mine isnt it? I never used the default drivers u c.... i installed mine with the Dets straight away, may be something to do with the default drivers in the package...

I downloaded the ltest WHQL detonators from NVidia  night before last and everything is great now. Im using the Leadtek Gforce 4 Ti4600 and e moh rund great.

Maybe you could try these drivers??

If you are using a No-CD patch, then this can cause errors with some drivers...

Triv has issues with the dets for some reason, and those ones you suggested are in fact FX drivers.... many people have lost performance with them on a GF4....

Cool, I must be one of the lucky few coz everything Im running is sweet as a nut.

I had more probs with 41.09 (which I was on) Than I got with these. 41.09 screwed text up in BF1942 and stuff. These drivers fixed that for me and everything else.

Oh well never mind, im happy with them. Triv try them out if thier rubbish thier easily removed, also try the 41.09's that P-Dub suggested allthough BF1942 is a bit dodgy with them.

If the problem remains try getting the newest Asus Drivers for your card.

Im running an MSI 4x GF4 Ti4200 with 128MB DDR RAM.

I update my detonator drivers with each release and I have never had a problem yet.

I also run MOHAA and every other game with a no-cd patch.

If you are using a No-CD patch, then this can cause errors with some drivers...

Please try removing the No-CD patch, Steve is right had probs myself recently and that's all it turned out to be.

Well I played all the time with my versions and I don't have the NO CD patch I think cause I always have to insert my CD.
Didn't had time last night (due too game PlanetSide) but will try it tonight!
