Just spent most of the weekend with this and i'm having a blast.

Graphics are primative but great selection of weapons that you can customise tele sights, silencers,extended mags.

Anybody else tried this and waht do they think??

I bought this Friday and to be honest I'm not that impressed with it.  The graphics are okay'ish, but the control system does'nt feel right.  So far I've only managed to play the single player to get a feel of the game, as the online version is already been patched to version 1.2 already!    

Is it worth downloading the patch to see if that improves the game or should I just cut my loses and take up my 10 day return at EB.

There are some improvements to the patch.

And there is an alternative 3rd option, which is to copy the cd, get the no-cd patch from www.gamecopyworld.com and THEN take it back.
not that i'd condone that sort of thing.

If you haven't already, go get Operation flashpoint, its pretty good

I've got Operation Flashpoint and the add on Red Hammer Campaign disc, very good game, but prefer Ghost Recon which is not only better looking, but better all round imo

Hmm got Operation Flashpoint and played the Ghost Recon demo. I thought Ghost Recon looked pants in comparisson.

Unless there's a new version and I played the demo of the old version.
What version are you talking about?

Operation Flashpoint is the most 'realistic' fps i've played. Nothing like carrying the flag back to you're base by dragging yourself along at a crawl, cos someone's shot you in the legs.

Op FLahspoint and Global ops are both a bit slow I thought.... (the respawn time in Global ops is v lame)

I'd hang on for SOF2.

The Ghost Recon that I have is the retail version which I believe is now patched to Version 1.2.10.0    Can't say what the demo turned out like, but the full game is fab.  I admit I'm a bit biased, I buy anything from the Rainbow Six, Rogue Spear team as I'm a big fan.  

As for Global Ops its a Counter Strike clone and a poor one at that.
