Hi Steve

Just had a nosy at our fps rate, and there doesn't seem to be a big difference between ours.  I'd have thought a 2GHz machine would have dumped on mine from a great height.  

Still, it does mean my machine might last another year before it had a big upgrade.  It would have lasted 2 full years.  The longest time yet. 12 to 18 months has been the average so far.

I suppose 3GHz CPU's will be out then and GeForce 5

just thought i'd drop in some updated benchmark results:

1600x1200x32
FlyBy: 119.613fps
Botmatch: 63.457fps

1280x1024x32
Flyby: 169.535fps
Botmatch: 65.846

1024x768x32
Flyby: 196.838
Botmatch: 65.616

Res: 1600x1200x32

Pretty much doubled from my last try.

Just tried a few tweaks - the mobo comes with a semi-auto "high performance" setting that sets the fsb to 166mhz amongst other things.

have also clocked the radeon up to 405mhz core and 358mhz ram.

1600x1200 now goes a little something like this:

FlyBy: 127.996
Botmatch: 66.551

I'll probably leave more agressive settings until i get a thermaltake case (hopefully at the end of august)

Get that FSB at 200mhz soldier!!!! Drop yer multiplier to 10.5x and get that FSB at 200mhz, you will notice one severe difference!

Well, just run some benchmarks....

Flyby @ 1600x1200x32 = 216.567474 fps
Botmatch @ 1600x1200x32 = 66.980255 fps

None to shabby, system settings are as follows

UT2003 Build UT2003_Build_[2003-04-07_17.42]
Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
AuthenticAMD PentiumPro-class processor @ 2136 MHz with 511MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4600 (4109)
