Ok i know this has been asked a million times before, but im strictly a MoHAA newbie, and this is really starting to get on my *ahem* nerves

Where oh where do these downloaded maps go? I've spent half my life downloading the things, and now i've attempted every possible variation of directory structure possible in order to satisfy MoHAA when it looks for the maps - to no avail.

Take the map "nestate3.pk3". Apparently it's a DM map, so i've tried it in:-

gamepath/nestate3.pk3
gamepath/main/nestate3.pk3
gamepath/main/maps/nestate3.pk3
gamepath/main/maps/dm/nestate3.pk3

I know the answer is going to be so simple, but i haven't got a clue what it is

Every map goes in gamepath/main

Doesn't matter what type of map Obj, Deathmatch etc...

Also when you are downloading pk.3 files windows can slap a .zip extension onto them - so it becomes filename.pk3.zip - in that case mohaa will never find the file. And you must remove the .zip extension. So check to see that windows hasn't hidden a .zip extension onto it (this does not apply to pk3 files extracted from a .zip file).
I play games on a:
ZX Spectrum 48K | Grundig C410 cassette recorder (adjustable head) | 20BT TV Philips Multistandard Color V37cm | ZX Interface 2 | New Kempston Compatible Competition Pro Switched Joystick | Sinclair BASIC OS

Cheers mate. It appears that there was something wrong with the particular file i was experimenting with. I dumped all the other maps there and they're fine.

Thanks for your help
