It looks like Microsoft have been spooked either by the PS4's lack of game resale restrictions and need to be online every 24 hours, or by the vitriol espoused by the gaming population.  Either way and unlike the iron lady and more like modern day politicians, Microsoft have done a u-turn.

QuoteAn internet connection will not be required to play offline Xbox One games – After a one-time system set-up with a new Xbox One, you can play any disc based game without ever connecting online again. There is no 24 hour connection requirement and you can take your Xbox One anywhere you want and play your games, just like on Xbox 360.

Trade-in, lend, resell, gift, and rent disc based games just like you do today – There will be no limitations to using and sharing games, it will work just as it does today on Xbox 360.

Now the only problem is the price and that creepy kinetic shit.

It's the price thats the major sticking point for me right now. Still keeping my launch pre-order for the PS4! :D
I play games on a:
ZX Spectrum 48K | Grundig C410 cassette recorder (adjustable head) | 20BT TV Philips Multistandard Color V37cm | ZX Interface 2 | New Kempston Compatible Competition Pro Switched Joystick | Sinclair BASIC OS

I am glad the company saw sense.

The Xbox One appears to be marketing itself as an all one entertainment hub, that's fine but I already have Sky HD, a bluray player and smart TV.

PS4 on the other hand appears to be focusing more on the games.

I'm not joining any madness at the respected launches and will buy one when I can make a more informed choice.

Brother updated his PS3 last week to 4.45 and bricked his machine, well done Sony  :derpnextgen:
