I've seen your posts on various parts of the forums about the fact that you run games at 1600x1200 with no problems, and wooohaaaa way coolio dude.

Now comes the question, is your PC o/c'd at all?? I have an 1800xp a Ti4600 and 512DDR yet i cant run at 1600x1200 and get a halfway decent frame rate most of the time...... I run just about everything at 1280x1024 and its sweet as... but 1600x1200 just doesnt seem to want to play.....

Basically, i was wondering what OS you are running, what version of the Det drivers and if you have tweaked anything on your system to allow you to do this...... Basically cos i want to lol

i've got an xp2100+ on an asus kr7a mobo (bios updated to support the 2100+) with crucial 512mb pc2100 DDR

my machine is not tweaked whatsoever (got more important things to do with the time my mrs allows me to spend on the pc )

i'm running xp pro and nvidia 41.09 drivers, direct x as installed with xp.

there is the odd map in mohaa where framerates drop to a level that causes problems but on the whole it's not to bad at all..

spearhead runs like a dog with volumetric smoke on, but is reasonably happy once that is turned off, the odd thing is set to high instead of highest and colours are at 16bit (all the funky stuff is turned on in mohaa)

ut2003 and bf1942 run happily at max detail tho..

i'm not saying i get monster >100fps rates all the time, but it's smooth

ahhhhhh, you must have updated the chip since your post which said u had a 1700xp.... ahh no probs, my XP1800 is gonna be upgraded soon, so i shall be in the same boat......

UT2003 runs sweet as hell on mine too, shame i havent even run it in the last 3 months lol

yeah,

updated a few months ago, the 1700+ is now in hamsterserver.com-6 (guinness)

with the 1700+ in it used to obviously run a little slower and on maps like village of despair the fps were dropping into single figures

most maps were fine-o but there was the odd one that resulted in 1200x1024 being the safer option

you can get some speedy cpus now for next to nothing  so an upgrade from your 1800+ is a move worth making

sorry to stick my ore in but I run@ 1600/1200 and don't get any probs with either SH Or Mohaa.
