Anyone else has got this?
I was just playing it in Coop mode with Paul, and it's rather good. It would be good to have two more hamsters rather than AIs though. Paul seems to find it a bit too easy to send the AI to its untimely doom :missile:, when he's not accidentally setting off grenades right behind me or blowing up bunkers with me in them. :hammertime:
So, I think we should arrange a Coop night some time. Who else is interested? :)
meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :D
it's probably worth pointing out that when I teamed up with paul the other week, we weren't quite so effective as you have seemed to be :)
Is this a true FPS? or is it one of those that has RPG elements...
If it's a proper "kick ass and blow stuff up without having to think" game, I might be tempted to buy it... :D

It's definitely a true FPS, but it's a more tactical one than some. e.g. if you go charging down a street or sprinting round corners you're likely to get a nasty surprise when a fixed machinegun cuts you down. You're generally working with the squad (although if you're Paul and some of the squad are AIs, 'working with' equates to 'sending ahead to their untimely doom' ;)). It's nothing too complicated though, and kicking ass and blowing stuff up are fairly easily achieved goals. :)
EDIT: I should add that not dying is rather important in coop mode if you're the commander. If you're not, and you die, and there's an AI, you get to take them over. But if you're the commander and you die it's game over for everyone and you have to start the mission from scratch. But there's more of a sense of achievement, it's all good fun. :)
There's no unlocking stuff, or any of that RPG-type stuff, I think. I haven't tried the non-coop online mode yet, which is a team-based map domination type thing. Looks fun though.
Anyway, you can get it on PC for £17.99 at sendit.com (http://www.sendit.com/game/item/6000000001992), so I reckon it's worth checking out. :)
Cool, thanks. If it's that cheap, then it's got to be worth a try... I'll order it tomorrow. Then Paul can send me to my untimely death too! ;)
Now ordered 8)
It arrived today. 8) Sendit.com aren't as fast as play.com!
Installing now, will let you know once I've figured out enough to play online without looking like a total n00b. :D
(oh, and please, no comments along the lines of "but you normally play like a total n00b..." :P)
Wow! this game is great! Didn't take long to get the hang of it... I'm ready for an online game. Can we get something organised for the weekend? 8)
Absolutely!
There's some CoH/CoV going on on Sunday (http://www.hamsterserver.com/forums/index.php?topic=4916.0), but furry has already mentioned wanting to get some GRAW in there as well. :)
I'm around tomorrow as well. Best option is probably to pop on IRC and poke.
i'll be around all day :)
