There's a newly created utility about which runs in the background while you're playing CoH/CoV. It captures your characters details (name, level, archetype, and bio) and ups them to a website.

It doesn't capture the character images automatically unfortunately - you have to upload those manually. It also doesn't capture which server the character is on (but apparently that'll be added). The other problem is, it assumes everyone is playing on the US servers. It still works fine with the EU client, but in theory your global name might already be in use on the US side of things. Hopefully they'll add something to support the EU servers.
But all that aside, it makes life easier for those character-listing porpoises. :)
It also lets you have a forum avatar showing whether you're online, and which character you're on as if you are, should that appeal to you - i.e. like this (http://www.citygametracker.com/status/avatar_299.png) and this (http://www.citygametracker.com/status/large_299.gif).
