Anyone else playing this? It's rather good. I like the way when you replay a mission the bad guys and the civillians are never in the same place. So you just never know who is around the next corner.
One tip, for the nightclub mission I found it was a bad idea to split up the team. Once I tried it with all of my team going in at the same time and using flashbangs on every room I was able to complete it with the loss of only one of my team :D.
Really liked the second mission where you had to storm a house where a serial killer was hiding.
Just about to enter a software company building now. Apparently two of the gunmen have body armor and gas masks! (WTF did the stupid negoiators go and give them those for?!)
Anyone got any hints for the later levels? :D
The following was stolen from nforce forums:
QuoteIf anyone is unhappy with the way single player goes, you can change it. There's a million .ini files in content\system\ folder. You can change those as you like. For example,
1) Change SwatEquipment.ini and adjust the rate with which crosshairs refocus when you stop, or how much they get spread out when you run. Or you can adjust that crazy recoil bumping the gun up on full auto.
2) Change how much penalty points the game gives you for Unauthorized Use of Deadly Force in Leadership.ini
3) Prevent your swat teammates from being completely shot up to bits on "Move and Clear" command by increasing their peripheral vision angle in Ai.ini.
I love this game - it rocks. Tips for later levels... hmmm... don't die?
Actually, you already know my tip - wedge doors like crazy!!!! Also, if you can spare the loss of a tactical weapon then take an optiwand yourself. Your team mates won't tell you when using le wand if the enemy have gas masks and so if using CS gas to flush them out is a stupid idea.
Haven't quite worked out yet if using snipers to shoot at whoever they can see would count as unauthorised force if the enemy haven't shot first - although surely it must.
