Tonight is a good TV night. In other words, as long as I help get dinner ready, the missus can sit there watching soaps and Bad Girls and won't moan if I spend my evening playing a co-op game of Warhammer with my fellow Hamsters. :wink: HINT HINT. :wink: About 8pm onwards say? Have just got my pass stamped for an hour or so from 8pm - will only be able to have the one game though, the mrs has a presentation to do tomorrow and i've been conscripted to help finish it off ;)
It's OK - we'll set the AI to insane and that way we can have lots of hectic 2 minute games. :wink:
Paul and I were bravely fighting yesterday (read: getting whopped - see Paul's screenies) and I think I got onto my fourth base before running out of room to retreatÃÆ'Ã,¢Ã¢ââ,¬Å¡Ã,¬Ã‚Ã,¦ :roll:
that was fun..
next time i try to protect my base some more.. and grow some more mines.. 8-)

Yeah great fun that ;) Was ever-so-slightly worried when the ork horde came from nowhere at the beginning of the game and raised my main base to the ground - thanks to Tricky for suggesting to build a second base otherwise the game might have been a bit short for me :D
I have to say my respect continues to grow for the Space Marines - I used to play with them and the Eldar in wh40k on the tabletop and my biggest problem with them was always my _terrible_ dice-rolling.. Relic seem to have captured the true nature of Space Marines - tough, reliable and ready to kick-ass :D
The terminators are truely spectacular - they just wade in and start dealing the punishment.. I can't wait for this game to ship!

Last nights game was a 90 minute rampage of destruction. Memorable moments were:
Building a listening post/gun tower, surrounding it with 10 heavy bolter turrets supported by a force commander and 4 marine squads (all upgraded to the teeth) - thinking they were safe so having a look at Fury's base only to glance back at the minimap to see that a huge mass of red pixels had completely swallowed the whole lot in about 30 seconds! Many expletives were usedÃÆ'Ã,¢Ã¢ââ,¬Å¡Ã,¬Ã‚Ã,¦.
Watching Cartmans scout squad chase a bunch of orks up and down the map for about 5 minutes in a Benny Hill style chase before they got squished by my Landraiders :mrgreen:.
Calling in multiple recklessly targetted orbital strikes and watching Fury run offÃÆ'Ã,¢Ã¢ââ,¬Å¡Ã,¬Ã‚Ã,¦ :wink:
Watching hordes of orks being blown into the air by Cartmans carefully prepared minefieldsÃÆ'Ã,¢Ã¢ââ,¬Å¡Ã,¬Ã‚Ã,¦ niceÃÆ'Ã,¢Ã¢ââ,¬Å¡Ã,¬Ã‚Ã,¦ :smile:
