Has anyone tried the demo? if so is it any good? :)
Im desperatly trying to download the demo.
I set it going from filefront on my download manager overnight, and at 192mb of 208mb it screwed up and wouldnt continue.
So I set it going 3 times this morning from the official EA FTP site, each time it got to 16% and stopped.
But Im now at 23% from filefront, so fingers crossed!!

I downloaded the whole demo in 15minutes with my new connection :)
I had to install GaySpy as the All Seeing Eye doesnÃÆ'Ã,¢Ã¢ââ,¬Å¡Ã,¬Ã¢ââ,¬Å¾Ã,¢t see much in terms of Breakthrough servers at the moment.
All the best servers were full last night and I was forced to play on some insanely laggy serversÃÆ'Ã,¢Ã¢ââ,¬Å¡Ã,¬Ã‚Ã,¦so I will save my judgement until I have had a decent play.
No problems downloading it from EA site.
Will install it tonight and give it a glimp.
Well, I downloaded this game this morning.........all i can say is..........it's worse than Spearhead :(
I joined an online game and the lag was terrible.
I don't think i'll buy this one, shame really as MOHAA is a good game :(

I'm dowloading the demo right now, but when reading yer posts i feel like pressing "cancel"...
To be fair, I cant stand spearhead except for 2 things.
1. The graphics are much better and polished.
2. There are many more rifles which I love.
Breakthrough is basically spearhead with a few new maps, Minesweeping / planting, a full set of British weapons and some Italian ones, and a new game mode, which I havent stayed in a server long enough to test due to the damn lag.
But on the whole, it has 2 new rifles!! woohoo, apart from that, its spearhead.

There are a few decent servers up and running and even the All Seeing Eye has been patched....so bang goes gayspy. The game graphics do appear dated now in my opinion, especially as not much has changed since spearhead. As far as I could make out only new wall skins and objects had been added.
I do like the multiplayer "liberation" game mode though, as it adds a whole new element to the game...although hearing "free the prisoners" all the time when you are near the cells is rather annoying, especially as there are now German, Italian, British, American and Russian accents. The voting system has been vastly improved and you can cast a vote on almost anything if the server permits. The new weapons are a challenge to use as I often find I'm completely ineffective with them compared to original MOHAA Allied/German weapons that are still in the game.
Having the ability to place landmines is good fun, as I get a kick watching people blow to pieces. They can only be placed outside buildings and in earth (sticking to paved areas is safe) so this adds in game tactics. Obviously the land mine player is highly vulnerable so has to rely on effective backup. I pray that they release a new map creator so this feature can be utilised on some of the excellent player made maps out there.
I haven't made my mind up if I am going to purchase this game yet, if I do it will be solely to play online.

I was playing Liberation mode last night, and it was good fun :) :) I seem to enjoy this more than SpearHead :lol:
Not too many servers to choose from ATM :( and you still get loads of team killers :evil:
But still good fun :)
I think i might just go and buy this game :wink:
Ordered it today so hopefully it will arrive at the end of the week.
Got it and hopefull will have some time in weekend to install and play it :-)

I'm at the part where you have to defend the town from the Tank Assault with the mortors :mad2: . Tried it like ten times and went and played Halo.
I wonder if this is a way of making the game seem longer ? :scratch:

Yep, trying to blow up the tanks with the mortars. Same here, :roll: gave it a good bash then resorted to playing it on-line

Hey Rik, I got through the tank assault with the mortars ( not mortors as I said earlier :roll: ) :D .
Went back and tried it and did it the first try 8O :D .
Don't give up man, it's get's REAL easy after that :wink: .
