It seems you either love Snowy Park or hate it, either way heres an invitation for you.

I'm hoping to set up a one off Free for all bash in the park lasting for about  one hour. at the end of the hour the winner, is, well, the winner... and can call themselves king hamster fo the park. Big Bazza will be hard to beat. :cry:

Spikeyfist has very kindly offered us Ham 2 for this bash to take place, which I propose  will go ahead on the 5 June 2002 starting at 9 pm.

For this to work we will need at least six peeps, Big, B ang JH and me are probably in....... but need more, if we can fill the server it should be a good laugh.  :lol:  :lol:  :lol:

Please post a reply if you are in and I'll check with Spikeyfist to see if his server is available for that night, after all it will be him that will have to set it all up ( Cheers Spikeyfist for all your help).  :D  8)

C'mon peeps... whether you like the park or not anyone fancy a jog in the snow.

If we get at least six peeps saying 'YES' then we'll set the game up. :D

Depending on numbers wanting to compete for the title, HS-2 should be fine thanks Spikey! If we get more than 8 WAN players then we can use HS-4 or book HS-5 for the night.

Better get my winter combat's out and give 'em a dusting down.

I saw some custom skins out there for winter use on alliedassault I think. The author reckoned they worked better on that map.

The game is set for 9pm Thursday night on Ham 3. It will be pistols only, at least to start.

The server will be password protected. This I will PM to you all thurs lunch time.

so if you dont want to play now or still want to join, please say so now.

I think John's hamsterserver.com-1 is running a sniper only mod, but it allows pistols too. Dunno if you're supposed to though!!

The game is on ham 3 tonight staring at 9pm. It is password protected which by the time you read this you should have. Certainly if you have posted here then you' ve got the password.

we have 12 peeps who said they wanna play, the server holds 10, so first cum first served.

Peeps will drop out im sure so keep trying.

If you havent posted and still want to play post here by 7.30pm and i' ll PM you the password.

I WILL NOT BE CHECKING THIS POST AFTER 7.30 PM

Thankyou all for supporting my barmy suggestion, it was a great game and i think we all had a good laugh.

Well done LT O Top he well and truly killed us, He is King of the Park.

Good timing or what - my adsl connection went down about 5 mins after we stopped playing last night..

*quality* game though :) really enjoyed it.  :lol:  The pistols-only added an extra level, and i thought it actually evened things out a bit - i'm not one for standing still for too long and it was refreshing to know you could creep around without being sniped.

Apart from mike starting up a quick lead and keeping ahead by 10-15 frags for most of the game, i thought it was pretty close between the rest of us, i was around the middle of the table for most of the game, and only managed to claw my way up near the end after remembering to aim high!

:idea: There are 2 rules though that you've *got* to adhere to on this map:

1: don't run!! you can be heard a mile off. with headphones on it's a doddle to work out your direction and distance.
2: headshots make quick work of your enemy. shooting mike in the head and watching him drop like a stone was the highlight of my night  :P

I think the standard of play improved as the game progressed, but there were still too many joggers in the park at the end  :lol:

How about mostly pistols only, single clip for the MG and one grenade? Pistol whipping is an option of course! Got a fair few that way last night :twisted:

Sounds good guys. Like the idea of 1 clip. MOHAA's funny in that when you die, you seem to drop your current weapon but only with 1 clip. Anyone who picks it up misses out on any other weapons or ammo you've got.

Should make for an interesting game.

Also, Hide and Seek 2 is great fun with 8 players playing pistols only,
there are a couple of mg42s on the map  though to spice proceedings up.

I'd be up for this if it were in the evening.

2 reasons

1 have a 3 year old running around so afternoons is out.
2 have 56k which is free in the evenings.

let me knoew if you change and what maps you go for, have to make sure i ve got em.

plus I'd prefer a gun of some sort, but would play anyway whatever.

I'd love to play, but like CD only in the evening. My problem is my Dad  :oops: who see's holidays as merely a chance to get work at home done :x . If I try to do something more fun before the works done he gets the right hump and won't help me for months :cry:
