Remember our half-assed attempt to get a game of AvP2 running?

Anyone fancy a second try? It really is worth playing in mp.

I'm no good for this week, my time will be taken up elsewhere but maybe next week or the week after? whadaya think??

Well that's 3 i thought. Who's the other peep? At least if the 4(?) of us played at the same time we could rely on 1 or 2 public players coming in (as has happened everytime i've run a server).

I think it's worth a go as long as we can be there at the same time.

Did you ever get to play this game?

I've just got round to buying this game (I needed something to put me over the ÃÆ'ââ,¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ,£39 for free postage on Amazon.co.uk and it's only ÃÆ'ââ,¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ,£13.99).

Give me the weekend to practice if anyones interested.

Barry

Yes I did.  Which is why I'm asking for a NO-CD patch.  So I don't have to have the disks lying around.

I always end up leaving them on the desk and putting a can of something on them.  Then they get scratched and sticky.

Barry

P.S Buy C&C: Generals, it's very good.

This seems to have died a rather slow & painful death. However! I have setup a temporary AvP2 Deathmatch server for up to 8ppl (seems to be ok over standard ADSL). You should be able to find it over the normal in-game browser - there's no password.

I want to see how it performs more than anything. Last time i tried this i kept getting quite a few horrible ping spikes making the game unplayable for a good 10 seconds or so, which really sucked. Please feel free to join and hopefully!...! meet someone else ;)

[edit]
It's called "Guinness Powered AvP2" (i mean... what else???)

it's not died a death as such, but i've had no time whatsoever to set up the linux server

i'll see if i can get round to popping by when i get a break in the wedding planning  :?

Lets do it, its brilliant and if you havent played the single Player game thru at least once you havent a cluse what youre missing.

Multi-player is cool, I even managed to play a bit on me 56k modem
