Looks like some kind of crosshair sight, have you installed any? If so just remove them. I think its in your main folder as a pak file

No sight or weapon mods in my install. The only mods I have are a blood patch and a sound file.

The wires make up a full 360 deg circle around the maps with 4 downleads to the ground. Difficult to show in a screeny as I cant pan full 360.

Thanks for trying though Iza

If the lines were white and broken I would have said it was a graphics driver.
Please post when you sort it out m8 :?

Maps are generally a large box made up of 4 walls, a sky, and the ground bit.

Looks to me like what you're seeing is the join between the walls, and the join between the walls and the sky. Can't think what could be causing it though...

Spot on Bradders old chap they are the extents of the map. Could have sworn it was a long wave radio aerial like they have at Rugby  :?

I can see things quite clearly in spectator mode and its the extremes of the map that are those the dark lines.

I have tried several different vga drivers and reduced all graphic settings within the game from max to high. I dont think its a hardware issue.

I think I will have to do a re-install of MOHA and put my maps back in a few at a time.

Somewhere in the back of my mind I remember extracting an Obj map that did not seem to have the correct folder paths in the zip file. Hmm I wonder.

Just a suggestion,

Try removing all the PK.3 files out to another folder, then putting them back in a few at a time(remembering which ones you have put in) and seeing if the problem is still there.
I know this is a long winded way around but, i would do a process of elimination !

Removed my addon map Pk3's and still got the problem. I can still host a couple of addon maps which makes me think some addon maps must extract themselves into the default Pak0.pk3, Pak1.pk3 etc files.

Re-install it is  :(

Thanks everyone for there input. Very grateful

Cheers

:D  :D I have fixed the problem.

It is caused by having the box ticked to "enable conformant OpenGl texture clamp behaviour" in open GL properties/advanced settings of my GeForce 4 graphic card.

Shame I had to re-install the game to find out

Cheers

You run it in openGL?? I didn't know that was possible... I prefer openGL to D3D, so if you can tell me how to switch, I'd appreciate it...

All games that use the Q3 engine use Open GL. Please tell me how to run Moha in D3D?

One of the main problems with Win Xp and Moha is that the monitor refresh rate is fixed to 60 hz as are all Open Gl based games. This is easily fixed by using one of the many refresh rate fixes on the net.

See my site www.danjon.net or www.guru3d.com for a fix or http://www.xp-refresh.net/ for more info.

Hmmm... for some reason I thought it used D3D... oh well!

To fix the refresh problem, I use a little program called RefreshLock (http://www.pagehosting.co.uk/rl/)...

It doesn't screw up your registry settings like some refresh fixes do. It just runs quietly in your system tray. You can set it to always use the fastest safe refresh rate, no matter which resolution you use. Very stable, easy to use, and freeware too! Works with all drivers.

Sorry to be a smart arse but all refresh rate fix programs alter the registry including refreshlock, which I rate highly. The smart part of the refresh fixes is not to hog too much CPU usage and I don't know how they do that.

Refreshlock Rocks.

You can alter the registry manually but it takes ages.

I didn't say that it doesn't alter the registry... I said that it doesn't screw it up! I tried one other program (can't remember which) and with it I changed the settings for 2 resolutions, 1024x768 and 800x600... result? it wouldn't let me use any other resolutions!!! Turns out I had to select the refresh rate for ALL the resolutions supported by my monitor.

As I didn't have any clue to the maximum refresh rates under each frequency, I restored the registry, deleted the program, and went looking for an alternative. Which is when I found RefreshLock!

Sorry Steve you did not say that it does not alter the registry, just screws it up. I appologise.

I did get myself in a complete tangle with Powerstrip if thats the prog you are thinking of.

Why oh why can't M$, Nvidia, ATI etc. sort out this problem? Open Gl games are extremly popular. Guess the big corps want everything to run in D3D as they are all s**t in the same pot.
