hamsterserver.com :: demented rodent gaming

Today I have been mostly playing around with a  pistols only mod for Hamster-8, pop in and let me know what you think.

I would appreciate any comments you have on these maps, and will change them if you have any preferences.

did a seach & found some with same name, but are they pistol versions??

also, do you need "crazy pistols mod" file i also came accross. or is that
for servers?

Try now cookie, those 3 link to Allied Assault, I tried to get on earlier but no go, must be server probs their end, ok now though.
No you don't need any pistols mod, it's one I did myself and is server only. You will have your weapon of choice as usual but it will have no ammo :!:,
no grenades either :!:

instead of Kazack's Silo and First Attack

Also I'll be running my "No Rockets mod", you do get 2 'nades tho', use 'em wisely  :lol:

As some people were complaining that Radio Post Atack was too small
I've replaced it with The Hunt (http://www.alliedassault.com/pafiledb/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=737), this is the obj map of The Hunt converted to death match.
Can't see anyone jumping onto the church roof now  :lol:

just tested this and it has a bug in it whereby you can go under the map, so for now I'll put Algiers in its place. That should keep you 56 kers happy, as you already have that one  :lol:

As I want to keep Hamster-8 a "custom maps" server I've removed Algiers, which was in temporarily, and added the following to my rotation.

That should be all the maps you need for now, or until someone comes out with a map of the calibre of "Small City."
We all like that one on Ham-8  :D

PlusNet now have an ADSL product for ÃÆ'ââ,¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ,£20.99 a month - that's not much more that unmetered dial-up :lol:

BlankFrank is on PlusNet and since their home gateway upgrade from 34Mbps to 155Mbps he seems happy! Most of the rest of us are on Nildram. You might want to get a static IP though :)

Ps you know this war aint gonna be won easliy or quickly. Shes a women who has no interest in gaming,  doesnt understand its appeal  and " arn't you a bit old for that sort thing, its a bit teenagery" see my problem. The next thing ill get is its a bit expensive, im happy with what we've got, you always have to have the best, etc etc, You married lot will have heard all this, lol. Will win in the end though. She'll want me to shut up eventually, lol

Ha Ha, the only way I won was by getting divorced  :lol:

Static IP is handy if you intend running a game server, cos then people can find you easier. If you're dynamically allocated, you have to involve a 3rd company to 'manage' your address so to speak.

PlusNet have a static IP by default on there ÃÆ'ââ,¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ,£22.99 product.

And Yes Creepy I've found them to be very good (As Mike says since the upgrade)

they have also ordered an additional 3 155mb Pipes for install at staggered dates throughout the year - so hopefully I'll stay happy
