The news was leaked on ADSLGuide early this morning >> link (http://bbs.adslguide.org.uk/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Board=gaming&Number=411355&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=) <<
It's simply awesome; it feels quite different to the earlier demos. I can't wait to get my hands on the final retail version. In the meantime, let's hope one of the {HamsteR}s sets up a server
WOW! now that is one AWESOME game. Graphics are just stunning, gameplay the same!
Just one issue... the field where you put your character name is WAY too short. All I can get in there is "{HamsteR}FltLt"! Grrrr....
Still, can't wait for the full version!
Steve :D :D
From me All Seeing Eye Auto Update doobrey: -
QuoteUT 2003 demo = no go. Looks like epic has gone from public masters to private, and to add insult to injury they seem to have explicitly banned all our IPs, so even if the serverlist wasn't encrypted we wouldn't have access to it. :/
Help get ASE Support by adding your name (and vote) to this (http://www.ina-community.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=2686132#post2686132) thread on the Infogrammes forum :D
so much better than the leaked version.. but then i guessed it would be ;)
*very* quick on my pc @1600x1200x32 - obviously well coded ;)
as soon as i can convince hammy6 to run it, i may have some server details for you :D
edit: but then again maybe not :? hammy6 is not interested in it one little bit.. hum..
hi jon just give it a tap with a lump hammer  how was the holl's
hol was tops thanks mate ;)
Downloaded the demo, and its cracking. I can see me playing it a lot when its available.
  :P
This came up when starting ASE
Sep 15. 2002
- added "Unreal Tournament 2003 demo" - server list coming soon
Looks like we were too quick to judge on the banning issue, it seems to have been just a temporary glitch. Apologies for the confusion. The guys at Epic have been really cool about this and are already arranging a way for us to download the server list.
Barry
There's a benchmarking utility in the system folder, for those of you who didn't know. :D
hum..

Hi Steve
Just had a nosy at our fps rate, and there doesn't seem to be a big difference between ours. I'd have thought a 2GHz machine would have dumped on mine from a great height.
Still, it does mean my machine might last another year before it had a big upgrade. It would have lasted 2 full years. The longest time yet. 12 to 18 months has been the average so far.
I suppose 3GHz CPU's will be out then 8O and GeForce 5 :D
Bestill my beating wallet :)
Barry
Afternoon all
Small patch, 3.2megs, is out for the demo.
Grab it from the normal places.

Barry
just thought i'd drop in some updated benchmark results:
1600x1200x32
FlyBy: 119.613fps
Botmatch: 63.457fps
1280x1024x32
Flyby: 169.535fps
Botmatch: 65.846
1024x768x32
Flyby: 196.838
Botmatch: 65.616
Just run mine:
FlyBy: 99.246315
Botmatch: 60.066044
Res: 1600x1200x32
Pretty much doubled from my last try.
Upgrades rule :D
Just tried a few tweaks - the mobo comes with a semi-auto "high performance" setting that sets the fsb to 166mhz amongst other things.
have also clocked the radeon up to 405mhz core and 358mhz ram.
1600x1200 now goes a little something like this:
FlyBy: 127.996
Botmatch: 66.551
\o/
I'll probably leave more agressive settings until i get a thermaltake case (hopefully at the end of august)
Get that FSB at 200mhz soldier!!!! Drop yer multiplier to 10.5x and get that FSB at 200mhz, you will notice one severe difference!

Well, just run some benchmarks....
Flyby @ 1600x1200x32 = 216.567474 fps
Botmatch @ 1600x1200x32 = 66.980255 fps
None to shabby, system settings are as follows
UT2003 Build UT2003_Build_[2003-04-07_17.42]
Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
AuthenticAMD PentiumPro-class processor @ 2136 MHz with 511MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4600 (4109)
Nice if i do say so myself...... :D
