Whats the word on gaming and TFT monitors ?

Can they cope with high end graphics for games or is a CRT monitor the way to go ?

I'm in the market for a larger, possibly 21" CRT or an 18" TFT which would be best.

Desktop space is'nt an issue, quality is.

Any advice on manufacturer would be a help, as there's loads out there !

Thanks

Mark.

TFTs' max resultion is normally lower than CRT. They're generally more expensive and require more care/maintenance.

For now I'd go for a 21" CRT monitor with possibly FST or pure flatscreen! :D

I personally have a 19" FST CRT monitor and it rocks...  ;)

from what i've read, flat screens still can't cope with game playing properly due to refresh rate restrictions. i'm sure i'll be corrected if this has now changed

saying that, i have a tft monitor at work and i think it's excellent - much less tiring on the eyes and not as fuzzy as i'd been made to believe.

i've got a 20" crt at home which i.. er..  was given when my last comany went bust. it's fantastic. the only reason i'd replace it is to free up some desk space
